I am an artist and illustrator making pictures for both adults and children. I have two distinct ways of working which have developed over time from my painting and sketchbook practice. I use traditional ink and watercolour in much of my commissioned children's and editorial work, and love the simplicity of this accessible medium. I also make prints combining hand drawing and painting with found and photographed imagery, lately working regularly with vintage maps, with which I have had a long fascination. I graduated from Edinburgh University with a degree in Fine Art in 2002, and completed an Illustration Masters at Camberwell College of Art in 2009, setting up as a freelance Illustrator after that.
I live and work in South West London with my husband, small daughter, and enormous cat.
